I’m Valerie. I’m originally from Minnesota, but have spent most of my life in Colorado, and it’s my favorite place to be. I live in Fort Collins with my partner, my son, and our golden retriever, Bombadil (discounts or at least life-long friendships may apply if you get the reference to his name). I started doing billing and credentialing for my partner’s group practice after I left elementary school teaching to spend more time raising my son. I’ve found my second career incredibly rewarding fighting back against insurance companies and making sure people can afford quality mental health services. In my free time, you can find me systematically working through the coffee shops of northern Colorado with a good book or attending any theater performance, especially musicals.
